English 1510 Reflection

        Since Ive started this course, I can now debate on arguments more formally as well as format an essay in a more organized way. My writing skills have ha significant growth in the field of revision. I have gained the understanding the revision is much more important that I had previously viewed it. Of the works that are in my portfolio I believe that my rhetorical analysis shows the most growth because I really focused on my detail as well as fully completing my revision. I learned any things throughout this course, but what really surprised me was noticing how much further I still have to go to perfect certain subjects. 

         My approach to writing changed across this course in many ways, mainly being my attention to detail and avoiding dragging on certain topics. What helped me strategically through this course was the rubrics and aids that the teacher put into our assignment's that largely kept me on track. I used feedback from my peers, instructor, and Ai to focus and fix areas throughout my writing works that I missed and or didn't initially see. I saw progress throughout my portfolio in the area of organization and becoming more technologically inclined in order to format everything right. 

        Now that I have completed this course, I do feel differently in the aspect of overall confidence. The in-depth instruction and supportive revision have enhanced my confidence largely. I see writing being involved more in the completion of my schooling. I do have to complete 1 more English class before I graduate. I would build on the is portfolio for other classes by new sections and looking into better ways of organizing and setting up pages. 

        I would like for my readers to notice my idea and point of view most as it explains things from a more personal and self-surrounded idea. My favorite piece in the portfolio would be the discourse community analysis because it really went into a personal area of my life and explained a lot of things that only I would have an idea about. I would have that my work here says that I am still growing but that I am ambitious and continuing to push for completion academically. I would explain my growth to someone who is unfamiliar with my writing by saying that I know what I am doing but am not perfect at every aspect just like everyone else.
